- Présentation sur le rabat :
"The "Metal Dreams" series is an artwork of enormous intensity and moving atmosphere. The unique topography of Iceland forms the basis of a staged installation with the solid material of industrial aluminium, which sometimes emphasises features of the landscape like a text marker, sometimes imitates nature or enters with one voice. In a harmonic synthesis, the ancient opposition of culture and nature - the aesthetic and the sublime - fuses into a new quality : land art is not sculpture nor is it image. It is far more a question of art events, with time limits and an aestheticising effect, whose photographic reproduction itself calls for an aesthiticising process. This processing is by its nature a filtration of actual reality, a multistage system made up of the perception of artist Thelma Herzl and photographer Damir Hoyka who have come together in order to mix their skills and their art to create a new whole.
