    En 1960, F. Prieur arrive à l’usine de transformation d’aluminium de Castelsarrasin. Il y est chargé de l’ordonnancement. La tâche est ardue à une époque où l’on reconnaît mal la valeur de cette discipline. En 1967, il est muté au siège social comme responsable du service central d’« organisation ». Il y fait alors connaissance avec le cabinet McKinsey qui réalise un audit de Cegédur et met en place les « Projets d’organisation ». Enfin, en 1970, il entre dans l’aventure de l’informatique, comme adjoint au chef du service « système de base ». Pendant toutes ces années, F. Prieur travaille au gré des bouleversements de la vie de l’entreprise, soumise à deux importantes fusions.

    
    
    

    In 1960, F. Prieur arrived at the Castelsarrasin (France) aluminium conversion plant as planning manager. It was a difficult task, as the true worth of the planning profession was not widely acknowledged. In 1967, Prieur was transferred to head office to manage the central organization department. That brought him into contact with McKinsey, which audited Cegédur and set up “Organization Projects”. Finally, in 1970 he embarked on the great adventure of information technology as deputy manager of the “Base System” department. During all those years, F. Prieur worked through upheavals in the life of the company, including two major mergers.
